It is a protected area located in the provinces of Chimborazo, Tungurahua Bolivar and with a surface area of 58.560 ha which is constituted of “páramos“. In terms of plant life you can find; romerillo, mortiño, chuquiraguas, sigses and occationally, quishuares, pumamaquis, piquiles and yaguales, all species from the Andes. The animals that can be found in the area include Deer, wolves, rabbits, vicuna and alpaca. In terms of bird life you can find the condor by may prove to be difficult to observe, the curiquingue, some sparrows and blackbirds

Departure from the Adventure Equatorland Agency Cia Ltda. Taking the road Ambato-Guaranda for a period of 3 1 / 2 hours in private transportation. Visiting the reserve Faunística of Chimborazo, you ascend to the first refuge located 4,800 meters above sea level, and then walk to the second shelter that is located 5,000 above sea level.
Within this ecosystem you can admire wonderful natural scenes; carihuayrazo, chomborazo with páramos and mountains that form its attractive characteristics. Upon arrival to the shelter called "Whimper," you receive a hot tea accompanied by a warm campfire, and we will also have some snack.
When we return to the first shelter, we descend on bicycles, for a period of 3 hours to the area of San Juan located on the way to Riobamba. During the journey may see animals such as alpacas, plants and indigenous communities.

The Cotopaxi Volcano with an elevation of 5897 meters, is located in the Cordillera Real, and is an active volcano with a symmetrical cone covered by glaciers and has been long considered the highest active volcano in the world.
Leaving Baños, we head for Lasso in a 4x4 truck. From there we go to the entrance of Cotopaxi National Park, we get to the refuge and parking lot (4600 m). It take roughly four hours or so to reach this point. From there we walk about 30 minutes to Jose Refuge Ribas (4800 m). And arrive approximately at 15H00, we conducte some technical practice on the glacier for acclimatization. In the evening we have dinner and time to rest.

We get up and have breakfast, review equipment, and we start climbing towards the summit and visit Yanasacha at an altitude of 5700 m. And also a wall of 200 m. toward the summit, where you can observe the crater and alter we will return to the refuge, have lunch and rest. Alter we return to the transport that will take us back to Baños.

This mountain with a height of 5024 meters, is located in the Western Cordillera near the majestic Chimborazo and is comprised of outstanding peaks and an extensive platform of snow and ice where it is posible to play safely in the snow. It also has a animal refuge for llamas and vicuñas.
We take the road Ambato-Guaranda that leads to the town of Rio Blanco from where we take a dirt road until close to the slopes of the cone, it is posible to climb in a 4x4 transport. There we found the camp. In the afternoon we walk along the slopes of Chimborazo to the lagoon Cocha Colorada.
